I want us to stay connected and move forward as apprentices to Jesus during the COVID-19 Pandemic. This will provide a brief overview of various aspects of our life together as a church.
Please respond as appropriate.
We will be sending twice daily e-mail communications through MAILCHIMP. The morning e-mail will be a guiding thought to help set “the rudder for the day”. A thought intended to help you learn from Jesus’ wisdom and leadership in these difficult times.
The afternoon e-mail will be more practical communication. If you do not regularly receive a weekly e-mail (our weekly e-mails have pictures in them) from us, please SIGN UP USING THIS FORM.
If you have a prayer request, send it to email@example.com , and we will give it to our prayer team.
Communicating with Each Other
The church needs to keep loving, encouraging, and supporting one another even though we are not able to get together. If you are willing to have your phone number and e-mail address published on a list so others can reach you, e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org , and you will be included. (We respect people’s privacy and do not want your information listed unless you are willing.) A quick call or e-mail goes a long way in times like this.
Serving our Community
We are still in communication with our town officials and the food pantry. At the current, time there no specific need that needs to be addressed, but we will let you know.
We are working to provide an “online experience” on Sunday morning. Please tune in on our Facebook page at 10:10 on Sunday morning to watch our Sunday remotely along with others. If you cannot participate in the live streaming of our online service, you will also be able to find our online service if you go to vimeo.com and search CCGuilderland in the search bar.
Yonna and Tyler are working on providing a gathering time for Students online as well. We believe it will be on Sunday afternoon at about the same time as Elevate (4:30pm) but stay tuned for more information.
Also, sign up for the Next Generation mailing list for the parents of children and students. We will be providing up-to-date content and information there.
If you need to contact a staff member, call the church office at 518-456-8063. We will get the message and return it as soon as possible.
I will close with this. It is Psalms 121. It’s a good one for times like this.
I lift my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber;
indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord watches over you—
the Lord is your shade at your right hand;
the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.
The Lord will keep you from all harm—
he will watch over your life;
the Lord will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.
